Stage 4 Lung Cancer
There is no proven treatment or cure for pancreatic cancer but there are experimental treatments ongoing.
Sounds like his time has about run out.
Pancreatic Cancer Treatment
The maximal survival time with pancreatic cancer is more or less five years. Sorry for your friend and his (her) dad.
Stage 4 Lung Cancer
Well no one knows, but it’s not true to say that nobody survives it. It’s a very deadly cancer, but I think about 10 percent of those who have it do survive. Ruth Ginsburg, the supreme court justice who has it, sounds like she’s doing quite well. Patrick Swayze is not.
It doesn’t sound good about your friend’s dad and I don’t want to give you false hope, but chemo is very rough on the body and they usually want to go after pancreatic cancer very aggressively. So sometimes people look awful just form the chemo. The skin and eye part could be because his liver got damaged by the chemo, but it could also be because the cancer has spread to the liver.
So it’s hard to be definitive what’s going on, but this is a very serious cancer.
Liver Cancer Treatment
Pancreatic cancer is one of the worst kinds of cancer because it is hard to diagnose, hard to treat, and moves quick. My grandfather’s brother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and passed away just a few months later. Don’t ever give a hope, you can always pray for him and the family.
Stage 4 Lung Cancer
Nonresectable or metastatic disease, which is common in this disease, has a median survival of 2 to 6 months. They don’t want to go after it aggressively if it cannot be removed and that is usually the problem.
