Sell items like jewelery and tell people that the money is going to charity or make some cakes or some kind of food and say some catch saying or just plain out say it’s for charity.

You might want to visit your local Harley Davidson Dealer & see about getting in touch with the local chapter of H.O.G. They do tons & tons of charity rides. But be prepared, they may require a non-profit status be obtained by someone in your group.

The best way might be to use your strenght, contact an arts council see if they can help to an event for promotion of awareness and charity for your Friend. Try also any non profit organization if they will support any event that you might have.

I suggest your dance company hold a benefit performance and combine it with a silent auction. Also, you can serve donated foods such as dessert items. Make the desserts a part of the event such as “an evening of chocolate decadence.” I also like the idea of a raffle for something big like a Harley. Having just one big raffle prize might be easier than collecting donations for silent auction items.
