WebMD.com doesn’t say. He was in remission for about 2 years after having leukemia for 1 year, and it just came back last week.
He’s lined up for a bone marrow transplant in about 2 weeks. I just need to know the odds of him making it. Citing credible sources would be of most use to me. Thank you.

Lung Cancer
LEUKEMIA-HOW TO HELP HEAL IT WITHOUT DRUGS, SURGERY NOR TREATMENTS
WHAT IS LEUKEMIA?
Leukemia is a cancer of the white blood cells of the blood-forming system of the body, including the bone marrow (the spongy tissue inside the large bones in the body) or tissues that are part of the lymphatic system (lymph glands, spleen and liver). This causes a proliferation of more mature cells and abnormal forms of immature white blood cells, blasts, to accumulate in the bone marrow and spill into the circulating bloodstream, also eventually involving other tissues. The white blood cells can become so numerous that, in some people with leukemia, their blood takes on a whitish cast. This consequently, crowds out other blood elements.
i am sorry about your boy friend.
Lung Cancer
First of all i’d like to say i’m sorry about your friend. It would help to know what kind of leukemia he has…and what stage it’s in. Truth is bone marrow transplants are generally done as a last resort, but if you can find a match through a brother or a sister, that’s generally very likely it will work, it’s harder to find a complete match if it’s not genetic, but can still be done without any problems.
