Do I have cancer? I seem to have symptoms.
For about six months I have experienced a dull ache in my upper abdomen on the left side. Three months ago I had a stomach endoscopy procedure that produced no results. The doc said “Don’t worry, no cancer.” He prescribed heartburn related meds that I’ve been taking since. Recently, I’ve been experiencing dull aches in my legs and a lymph node under my left arm pit has been hurting for a couple of months now. The sensation in my chest has not improved at all and I’ve even lost about ten pounds. I swear the convenience of the internet is both a blessing and a curse. Anyone can diagnose/misdiagnose themselves fairly effectively. Am I in trouble or freaking out? Thanks.

Lung Cancer
Cancer can often cause very vague symptoms — that’s one reason why it’s so hard to catch early when it’s treatable.
Since your symptoms haven’t gotten better and you’re losing weight, I would go back and see the doctor again. Many different conditions or problems could be causing your symptoms, most of which aren’t cancer or as serious as cancer, but a doctor needs to decide that.
Good luck.
Lung Cancer
For the most part, cancer don’t hurt until its in its final stages so sorry to say.. my dad had lung cancer in the left lobe last october, and they told my sister and my self and my mom that the early detection is always the best detection..
This last October 07 my mom had cancer that spread, and she died after only less then 2 weeks of being diagnosed with it..
I’d find a different doctor, and don’t mess around with this, cause you don’t want this its painful looking and its hard to watch trust me..
best of luck
Oddly enuff when you understand the big medical terms that doctors use, they look at you like your crazy.. the internet is a good thing to have in this type of situation, even though for myself I think it’d be more interesting if it weren’t happening to me ya know?
Lung Cancer
The answer is no one knows unless you have tests. You really need a second opinion. Get to your doctor and get referred to a hospital for checks and tests.
