I work at a retirement community, and we had a vet clinic, and 3 cats had cancer. Then, I was talking to my aunt, and she has to put her old kitty down because he has cancer. It just seems like all cats have cancer! Is there anything you can do to prevent it? I feed my cat only holistic (100% natural) cat food, and white tuna in a can (like the one us people eat) only once in a while. So, just wondering, if feeding them better food and stuff will help prevent them from getting cancer.

Prostate Cancer Treatment Options

I just went to the vet yesterday and he told us that my cat has arthritis on his back and that she may have a possible cancer of lungs or liver. But he said that we need to do an ultrasound. My parents and I think that we shouldn’t do it. But my question is how do we know if my cat is going through lots of pain due to cancer? How do we know that it is time to put her to sleep forever?
also she weighs 6 pounds which is below 6.5 pounds which is bad. she has been eating for two weeek we have been forcing her to eat and drink But she seems to purr a lot when we are around her and taking care of her.
my cat gets traumatized after goign to vet every time. she is sensitive.

How long can I smoke?

I have a 3 month old kitten he went to the vets for his first fvrcp and then 4 wks later got his second fvrcp and rabies in three wks he has to go back and get his 3rd fvrcp. He is an indoor cat should i have him tested for leukemia or is it a waste of money. BTW i do have another cat she is 10 yrs old i have had her since she was born i don’t think she was ever tested for leukemia but she is fixed and has all her shots.

Lung Cancer

My eight year old kitty had her left hind leg amputated 16 days ago due to an aggressive tumor that proved to be a fibrosarcoma. She had her sutures removed 3 days ago and she has a tiny “knot” on the end of her healed incision.

Cancer from smoking

My cat has been having nose problems for several weeks and it hasn’t been getting better so I took him to the vet. The vet looked in his nose and couldn’t see anything so he said he was worried it might be a tumor. He asked me to leave him over night so he could take some x-rays. I was just wondering if anyone knew how common tumors/cancer is in cats. My cat means a lot to me and I’m worried sick about the whole situation.
