SAMMY Worries too much! asked:

Hi,
I have had a tight, pressure squeezing sensation in my left side of my head located at about where the left temporal bone/lobe is. Sometimes this pressure radiates behind my cheek, behind my left eye and on down the left side of my face. This sensation of pressure has been going on for about approx 3 months. Please take in note i am a new mum to a 4 month old baby, i suffer from anxiety & i do have a sore neck here and there. Also, please note the pressure in my head is a very strong pressure and is hard to ignore but is not painful at all! I sometimes feel nausea & other brain tumor symptoms but these are also signs of anxiety. I am admitting i have anxiety but the pressure is strong in my head and is making more anxious with the thought sometimes so terrible could be wrong. I have gone to see a physiotherapist because i thought maybe i had a tension headache but the pressure/squeeze in my head has not disappeared. Plus a typical tension headache moves from side to side, not just staying on the one side. Any true info or experiences would be SO great! Maybe a link to a website could be good, i can’t seem to find any good ones…..Ps im and getting a CT scan in 2 weeks just in case you guys think i should.
please help! I’m so scared!!!

Allison S asked:

I just had bloodwork done around January 2, 2008. All was normal except high cholesterol. I have had anxiety for about two years now, as I have gone through many changes in life (divorce, having a baby, moving to another state, ect.). The anxiety medications don’t seem to be working and my symptoms seem to be getting worse. Today I saw my Dr. because I have been very fatigued, anxious, woosey-like ect. She told me that she thought it was anxiety, but referred me to a neurologist to see if I have pressure around my brain. Now I’m really freaking out! Everything I review online shows symptoms of a brain tumor! Would my recent blood work have shown something like that, or is an MRI the only way to tell?

Here are my symptoms. Please let me know if you have had this too!

*panic
*get “clammy” when I go places
*headaches
*loss/delayed menstul cycle
* tunnel vision
*woosey
*fatigued
*twitches/trembles
*feel scared/doomed all the time

Can a CT scan be trusted to diagnose a brain tumor?

Courtney asked:

HI I am 20 years old, and my sister thinks she has a brain tumor. It all started in mid january when her neck muscles were tight and it caused her to get headaches, then finally in march she went to the doctors and they gave her a CT scan to make sure there were no masses, swelling, etc. The radiologist said the resluts were normal and that the neck tension is causing all the pain so they sent her to phyiscal therepy. After that she felt really good and things were getting back to normal, but then her neck hurt again but not as much and her headaches really didnt come back. So should she be worried that the CT scan missed something?
