For the last week I have been having stomach pain a lot with some diarrhea and both gas and belching. The stomach pain starts off it seems around my sternum and mostly occurs there before I eat. After I eat I have the pain more in the lower abdomen. Veery little nausea, and no vomiting. Maalox has really done nothing, and it doesn’t seemto be tied to anything I eat. My dad died from colon cancer 2 years ago, and this is some of what he went through, so of course I’m freaking out. What could this be?

My grandpa is 88 years old and the Dr’s are not sure if he has Pancreatitis or Pancreatic cancer. I know one is Cancer but I need to know more about them both.

Do they cough up blood when they get poisoned? You see this in Chinese movies a lot, heheh. Or is it when they have internal bleeding? Does internal mean the gastrointestinal tract or the lungs or stomach or some other part? Do you cough up blood when you get lung cancer?

My mom was sick with a bad cold a while ago, but has been well for over a month now. However, she continues to hack and cough up phlegm nonstop and makes disgusting noises. She does this seriously every five minutes, or less. It is so gross and annoying. Anytime we mention it to her, she insists it’s not bad and gets mad at us. She’s not sick at all, this is her totally just being dramatic.Any advice for my family as to what we can do to silence this beast?

Hi.. I always see numbers, such as “X millions smokers die every year of cancer” and similar.

I never ever ever ever see a % in there. If for example 5 millions people die every year, and there are 1 billion smokers, then it’s barely a 0.5%… Can someone please post statistics with percentages? I wanna see what my actual chances of dying are.

Please include references as I’m not interested in your personal opinion (86% of statistics are made up on the spot – I’m _NOT_ interested in those)
By the way, comparing the life expectancy for smokers and non-smokers would be even better.
