My mother was diagnosed with stage IIIB lung cancer in March. She has had radiaition everyday since the end of March (excluding weekends and some time off for her blood counts being too low) and has had 2 rounds of chemo. At first she was doing really well, her attitude was great and she didn’t feel all of the side effects everyone talks about. After she lost her hair, it alsmost seems as if she gave up. She has more bad days than good now. She had to have a blood transfusion a couple of weeks ago and she felt better, but here lately she has just been extremely tired and very emotional, I mean more so than normal since she started all of this. She only has 3 more days of radiation left, which I know she’s happy about, but could this be a sign that maybe things aren’t going to work out in our favor, or maybe she is just really really exauhsted? I just keep thinking that things will get better when her treatment is over and everything goes back to normal, but will it?

Okay, so my grandpa smoked and drank his whole life. This man would drink mad dog 20/20 and smoke a pack a day of Marlboro reds. He lived untill he was 89 and he died of natural causes. He didn’t have cancer, diabetes or any other illness. Are some people’s immune systems just that good? I mean, I’m pretty sure that his crazy rants about him getting a glass eye from Europe were due to his excessive drinking but other than mild mental disturbances, he was okay from everything else.

it’s like a liquid pouch and moves around. It doesn’t seem to be sensitive to the touch, but it is concerning to me. What could it be?

I'm doing my tattoo added on, my father was diagnosed with lung cancer the beginning of last year, which unfortunately is losing its battle. I want to get something on my tattoo that represents the lung cancer. my tattoo now has two flowers and two butterflies. I want to add a flower that represents the lung cancer and also a small bird with the notes of music (singing because she loves) if anyone has any idea about the flower … and lung cancer is the awareness of color, would be much appreciated! !

Beauty mark turned cancer spot?

Lindsey asked:

I have this beauty mark a little smaller than the top eraser part on a pencil, on the right side of my stomach. A year or two ago it became, like…spotted? Not multicolor, but discolored ya know? And my doctor said nothing is wrong, just look at it. But recently, it has been starting to itch and turning red occasionally around it. Is that bad? What should I do?
