My mom says her stomach is always hurting for a few years now and that the doctor is going to take blood and do xrays . She won’t tell me what the xrays said from a year ago . I feel like there is something she is not telling me. This is scarry for me. I just went through my daddy dieing of cancer.

I have read that red cabbage contains chemicals (anthocyanins), that cause a person’s cells to create an enzyme that repairs DNA damage. I also read that strawberries contain a type of acid, along with polyphenols, that supposedly prevent skin cancer. Can anyone verify this? Any idea to the mechanism of the protective actions?

How long can I smoke?

This is not about pregnancy as I am a man but here goes (showing ignorance here). I had an AFP test as one of my cancer post follow ups. It has fluctuated and I am getting do not worry about it but as a guy, I am wondering if there is any info out there to tell me what makes this fluctuate as it is a tad above the normal range even though the other tests show well within “normal” limits.

I just want to know if it is common for males that are under the age of 30 to be diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. If so, are there certain causes that lead to being diagnosed at such a young age?
