Technical, scientific answers only please. No guesses. The reason I ask is because I knew a family who had 4 out of 6 members end up with cancer with two of them dying from it over a period of 30 years. They each lived in the house for various periods due to the fact that one of them was a child of the family who grew up and got cancer later in life. Both of the original couple got it with the husband dying from it. The second husband got it and the original wife eventually died from it. They all had various types of cancers.

Also I live in a state where cancer is prevalent, but certainly not that prevalent to happen to that many members of a family.
They drank well water.

justaquestion asked:

I have been worried more recently about ovarian cancer. I have done quite a bit of reserach and there are numerous factors for why someone could aquire or would not aquire ovarian cancer.

About a year ago I was on birth control for about a year or so. I have been off birth control for a year because I did not want to spend money on it and sort of just wanted my body to go back to normal.

Of course my periods have gone out of wack now that I have been off the birth control. They are about 45 day cycles instead of the normal 28 day cycle. I know that abnormal mentrual cycles could be a problem with ovarian cancer. That is my one sign.
I also find myself with some slight cramps and pains in the lower abs through the month and occasional indigestion with embarressing (stomach aches which lead to the bathroom) and not puke. If you know what I mean. Are having these stomach aches, abnormaly long period cycles and some ab pains enough to go through all those tests for ovarian cancer

I am an almost 39 yr old mother of 3 children. 2 time cancer survivor. 2 different cancers as a matter of fact. I am a fit woman, i’d like to think i take of myself. Anyway, i found a lump in my ****** and i am having a mammagram done in a couple days. My biggest fear is that this time i may not be so lucky. I may not beat this if it is cancer. I love life..i love my chidren..i want to see my grandchildren born, ilook foward to the day. I have very long hair, to my waist, i dont want to loose it. So, thats why i have asked, if it is cancer, are their any new meds. that would keep me from loosing my hair, or making me sick..like Chemo would?
