kitty143cat asked: My Granfather age 77, was diagnosed with lung cancer. He has not smoked for almost 25 years. The tumor is in stage 3B (I 'm not really sure what B means, but I'm guess that cancer by 3 points) and he is pressing against his heart and a collapsed lung. He also has congestive heart failure. He is currently in hospital with phnemonia. I know he will not survive this, but my question is: is it really worth doing radiation for a few more months of life? I 'm not trying to be bad, but practical. The radiation is going to do more tired than he is already so why is because they need more pain throuhg. My family also did not talk about taking action hospice. ¿THOUGHTS? The problem is my family is sugar coat everything they tell you. Because he is having trouble understanding that some things are turning. My aunt who is her daughter told her that everything would be fine after his radiation and that he would live. Bubble burster your doctor and now he knows everything, but I don 't know if he understood.
