I recently found out that my elderly neighbor has stage four stomach cancer. For the last month she has been going through intensive chemotherapy treatments and I saw her on Monday and she has already lost all her hair. She has no energy and is always nauseated and even has a difficult time taking in liquids. Before the cancer, she was such an active person, always working in her yard, cooking, and traveling with her husband. She has always been extra sweet towards my kids, giving them gifts at Christmas, bdays, etc…….What can I do to brighten up her day? Any ideas?

Just so you know, it’s not me that has cancer, but someone close to me. It is quite advanced, but somehow she keeps going on. Incredibly strong, and doesn’t seem to want to give up. She sometimes improves enough to be able to go for a short walk outside, but this isn’t often.

My mom has been drinking every night of past few years now. she smokes least 1 pack of cigarettes a day too. She complains of pain in her stomach and says must be some infection and all. I lost my dad last year to cancer and my moms sister has got cancer too few months back. I hope my mom wont get cancer from booze.

I want to find a career to help children with cancer and other impairments/diseases. It absolutely kills me to see kids in pain. I donate my hair to “Locks of Love”, but that’s just a little thing. What kind of career can I find to help them? I don’t want to be a nurse. That’s for sure. What could I do?
